Rescue Diver

Safety Doesn't Happen By Accident

Just as everyone should have First Aid training, a Scuba Diver should know how to help them selves or thier buddy in case a problem comes up.


The Rescue Course will teach you to effectively prevent problem situations deal with diving emergencies. This is arguably one of PADI's best courses for increasing a diver's self confidence. It is an important and crucial step in expanding a diver’s knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level. This is why the PADI Rescue Diver rating is a prerequisite for all PADI leadership training and is a favourite among divers.

Course Prerequisites

  • Have your Advanced Open Water certification
  • Must have Emergency First Response or equivalent
  • Minimum Age: 15 years old for a full Rescue Certification
  • Minimum Age: 12-14 years old for a Jr. Rescue Certification
  • Diver Information Form, Medical Statement and a Liability Release.  New forms are needed every 12 months

  • $495 with your gear
  • $565 with rental gear

This price includes 2 full days of diving, class sessions, BCDs, regs and wetsuits It is strongly recommended that Rescue Students have their gear, contact the shop for prices on complete dive gear packages.

Knowledge Development


The PADI Rescue Diver course is an important and crucial step in expanding a divers knowledge, confidence and experience.  The course teaches you how to effectively perform in-water rescues, assist and manage diving accidents, as well as it teaches valuable self rescue skills.  The course consists of four knowledge development topics, 10 Rescue Exercises and two Rescue Scenarios
